The booking form will be emailed to you shortly. Under the terms of the passenger certificate, spaces are limited to 50 people. There are fewer than 30 Thames sailing barges left in Britain, of which only five are wooden barges with full passenger certificates. Lady Daphne is one of the most famous of London's classic wooden vessels still sailing - 91 feet long, 21 feet wide, built in 1923 at a gross tonnage of 117 tonnes and able to transport 220 tonnes of cargo. She is one of the many thousand Thames sailing barges built for the English coastal trade from the 18th century until the middle of the 20th century. As most of you will know she has been moored at St Katharine Docks for many years. For more information about the Lady Daphne see www.lady-daphne.co.uk.
If you wish to renew your membership to enable you to attend this event, please send an email to email@example.com.

News from around the Dock
Supporting St Katharine Docks GP Surgery
Our campaign continues and is gaining traction – many thanks to those of you who joined the very well supported march through Tower Hamlets on the 5th June and listened to some impassioned speeches from Lord Owen and others. The support group we have set up to work with Dr Patel has been instrumental in him meeting with Earl Howe, Jim Fitzpatrick MP, Dr David Geddes and Jane Milligan, CO NHS THCCG, at Westminster, following which Dr David Geddes of NHS England visited the Surgery to meet with Dr Patel. The discussions between the various parties are very much ongoing with a specific Position Paper expected from NHS England soon.
If you haven't already done so please log on to NHS Choices at www.nhs.uk On the home page, go to "Comments" and enter the postcode E1W 1UA to take you to the St Katharine Docks Practice review area. You will be asked to rate elements of the service provided and leave your own comments. The ratings awarded from these comments really do count, so please take a few minutes to show your support. Don't forget to sign the petition we have set up on the Government website at http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/64721
The Practice needs more patients to register to ensure it is financially viable. Since we started our appeal there has been an excellent response and the list has increased, so please continue to spread the word amongst your friends and neighbours. The extra income new patients generate will allow Dr Patel to hire additional healthcare professionals. People wishing to register should contact the Practice on 020 7488 3653.
We will continue to up-date you and let you know other ways in which you can help. Dr Patel and his team are very grateful for all the support already shown.

Tower Bridge, Southwark Bridge and Westminster Bridge will be shut for much of the day. For information about the race please see: www.tfl.gov.uk/campaign/tour-de-france-2014?cid=fs154
Chef Tom Aikens is opening a branch of Tom's Kitchen on the ground floor of Commodity Quay towards the end of July. Serving British favourites and comfort food classics in a relaxed and informal environment from breakfast to dinner it will include a restaurant, bar and a deli which will offer express takeaway options for food lovers on the go.
We have had a meeting with their management team and they are keen to welcome members of FOSKD and will work with us to provide some special offers for the group, so watch this space! www.tomskitchen.co.uk
