The Friends of St Katharine Docks (FOSKD) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Notice sets out the basis on which your personal information will be treated. If you have any concerns, or wish to obtain further information, please contact us via contactus@foskd.org.

We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time, to reflect how we are processing your data. If we make significant changes, we will make that clear on the FOSKD website or by some other means of contact such as email, so that you are able to review the changes.

Information we may hold

We may collect and process the data which you give to us. This information may be provided by filling in forms on our website or by corresponding with us by phone, email, writing or otherwise.

This will include information which you provide when you complete the membership application form, when applying for any event which is being organised by FOSKD, when you change/update your personal details, contact preferences or through any other communication to FOSKD.

This information will include, for example, your name, address, email address and phone number.

Uses made of the information

We use the information held about you in the following ways;

  • For administration of your FOSKD membership and to communicate with you about your FOSKD membership
  • For the provision of FOSKD services and for events administration
  • To communicate with you (via FOSKD newsletter or similar) about forthcoming events and other matters which are considered likely to be of interest to you as a member of FOSKD.

We only use what we need. Every effort is made to ensure that we only collect and use personal information if we need it to deliver a service. We will hold your personal information for as long as is necessary for the purposes referred to above.

You can unsubscribe from our Newsletters at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the Newsletter. If you do not wish to receive any emails from us you can tell us by emailing your request to contactus@foskd.org with "View, amend, or delete the personal information that FOSKD hold" in the subject line of your email.

FOSKD uses a proprietary electronic solution to assist in membership subscriptions and events, and personal information provided will be stored using this solution. The provider of this solution, called WebCollect, maintains its own privacy notice, please refer to https://webcollect.org.uk/help-topic/privacy-notice-amendments

With the exception of Campaign Monitor and WebCollect, we will not share your personal information with external third parties without your permission or unless we are required to do so by law.

Protection of your information

We will do all we can to ensure that we hold records about you (whether in paper form or electronically) in a secure way. We have controls in place to ensure only those who need to view the personal information can access it.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file which is saved on your computer or other device when you visit the FOSKD website. We use cookies necessary to help us distinguish you from other users of the website, to provide a good experience when you move around the website or to provide certain basic features.

Access to, and restriction of, information we hold

You can ask us at any time (in writing or via email to contactus@foskd.org) for access to all the information which we have about you and the services you may receive from us. You can ask us to correct any information which you believe to be incorrect. You can ask us to limit what we use your personal information for. You can also ask us to erase your personal information (but if you do so then of course we will be unable to communicate with you about any FOSKD matters).

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this Privacy Notice. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statements applicable to the website in question.
