News from around the DockSKD Marina refurbishment plansBlackstone has recently filed a Planning Application to refurbish the infrastructure of the Marina. Many of you will have received information about the plans directly from their PR Company. A number of consultation meetings were held with various stakeholders including local residents and berth holders. The FOSKD Committee were represented at all the consultation meetings and liaised closely with the Berth Holders Association Committee. Neither organisation objected to the Planning Application but we did submit additional comments in respect of the discussions held with Blackstone and Camper & Nicholsons which have been taken into account by Tower Hamlets Planning Department. A decision is expected early in the New Year and if permission is granted, works will begin in January. | |
