The St Katharine and Wapping Safer Neighbourhood Ward Panel

The Ward Panel was re-established in the Summer of 2017 at the request of the Police. It currently comprises of 14 volunteers from the local community and the Police Safer Neighbourhood Team. The primary function of a Ward Panel is to understand the concerns and problems of local residents and represent them directly to the Police and Local Council. The three priority areas for the Ward Panel to concentrate on, as decided by Residents in 2017 are: Drugs, Dangerous Driving and General Anti-Social Behaviour. Members of the Ward Panel have now set up a dedicated website which has lots of useful information about how to report Anti-Social Behaviour amongst other things and copies of past Newsletters are available to view. Details of forthcoming public meetings about relevant community issues are also publicised on the site – please do take a look here www.skw-wardpanel.org.
